Dad's Lonely

Hey all...
It would be great if you all could call dad. He has been confined to home because they have been working on the road in front of the house for 2 weeks and he is stuck in the house. He needs some talking to.

Hope you all are doing well, I really miss you all.

Monopoly

It was great seeing everyone a couple of weekends ago. I really miss all of you very much. I guess you don't realize how much you do miss family around until you get to spend time with them and when you're away you miss them.
Anyway....on to the topic at hand. I don't want to hear any more about Dad not being able to see or any other issues. He pretty much was killing everyone at monopoly when I came to visit (except for me, of course). He rolled the dice and was right on it, not to mention when we rolled the dice. The only reason he quit was because he was hungry and wanted to get something to eat. No matter what, a Petrich is a fierce competitor and he definitely showed that a couple of weeks ago!!!!! It's funny what a game of Monopoly can do for someone!!!!!!

Dad

This week dad has been very emotional. He has been crying because he misses everyone. He was crying because he missed David. Then he was crying because he missed mom. Then every time we mentioned someone else's name he cried again. It would be nice if you all would give him a call and talk to him. He just needs to hear from all of you.

Interesting Things Dad Said or Continues to Say

Okay, Dad is too funny. The other day we were sitting at dinner and dad asked David and I what we were doing that afternoon. We told him we were going to Port Huron to celebrate our anniversary. Not 5 minutes later dad asked "WHy are you going to this function?" I replied, "We are going to celebrate our anniversary." Then he laughed and said, "I just asked that didn't I?"

Too funny sometimes what he says.

Other phrases: "Be a Man", "Butter and Cheese Line", and "I want to see some Dignity". If you can think of more feel free to add them to this post.

Person of the Week

This isn't too long ago, but I do remember when Dad was made the Person of the Week from... I think it was TV 12. I could be wrong. The segment was really well done.

Remember When?

Do any of you remember when Mom was working at McDonalds and dad would go up to the drive through and say things to her, like ask her out on a date or tell her how nice she looked even though he couldn't see her.

Just food for thought!

The Letter: Lakisha Jones

I was so happy for dad this week. He received a letter from LaKisha Jones. He was so excited to hear from her. She wrote him a letter and thanked him for everything that he taught her. I hope that she makes it to the final 2 because he really deserves to go out there and celebrate with her.

My First Blog

Well, here we go. I have never tried this before so I hope that this works. We are dedicating this site to our Dad. This is for him and for us so that we can preserve memories of things that happened to us as children and throughout our lives till now.

Hopefully, everyone will have a chance to come to this site and write down memories of everyone in the family and even new events that happen as the years continue to go on.
